The first platform allowing the brightest minds in data science and artificial intelligence research to apply their expertise in solving game-changing problems across a range of Australian industries.
In 1997, chess legend Gary Kasparov squared off against IBM supercomputer Deep Blue, in a rematch after he defeated the 1,4 tonne machine the previous year. In the second game, Deep Blue's 44th move was so unexpected that Kasparov attributed it to a “superior intellect”, in what could be seen as the first example of a machine passing the Turing test. Our name is a recognition of that moment. 44thMove is a platform connecting PhD and post-doctorate alumni in the field of AI with organisations that have compelling problems to solve related to their research. Built in partnership with avant-garde Australian universities, to explore new frontiers of technology. .
